Herbert von Karajan, BPO, 1966: Brandenburg Concerto No. 3 in G major, BWV 1048 (1)

Herbert von Karajan (1908-1989) conducts the Berlin Philharmonic in this 1966 performance of the first movement (Allegro) of Bach's Brandenburg Concerto No. 3 in G major, BWV 1048. I created this video from the LP depicted in the video above, entitled "Brandenburgilche Konzerte, Orchestersuiten 2 und 3," and issued by Deutsche Grammophon, serial number 138976/78. The black and white images of Bach and von Karajan, as well as those of the printed text, are taken from the booklet that is included in the boxed set.
