Keyboard (harpsichord)

Johann Sebastian Bach (* 21. Märzjul./ 31. März 1685greg. in Eisenach; † 28. Juli 1750 in Leipzig) war ein deutscher Komponist, Kantor sowie Orgel- und Cembalovirtuose des Barock. In seiner Hauptschaffensperiode war er Thomaskantor zu Leipzig. Er ist der prominenteste Vertreter der Musikerfamilie Bach und gilt heute als einer der bekanntesten und bedeutendsten Musiker überhaupt. Insbesondere von Berufsmusikern wird er oft als der größte Komponist der Musikgeschichte angesehen. Seine Werke beeinflussten nachfolgende Komponistengenerationen und inspirierten Musikschaffende zu zahllosen Bearbeitungen.
